Ordering Outside the EU: Everything You Need to Know

If you live outside the European Union, for example in Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Norway, or the United States (find the full list of countries below), special rules apply to your order. This guide explains clearly what to expect when ordering internationally and which costs may occur.

1. Shop Prices: Excluding Tax

If your shipping address is outside the EU, you will pay prices without VAT in our shop. This means the displayed price is a net price, excluding taxes, and you are paying around 20% less compared to customers within the European Union, who automatically see prices including VAT.

2. Customs Duties, Import Fees & Taxes: Additional Costs

When importing goods into non-EU countries, additional charges may apply, including:

• Customs duties (3-7%)

• Import taxes / VAT (depending on your country of residence)

• Processing fees by the shipping carrier (0.5-2%)

The amount depends on the destination country, the value of the goods, the type of product, and local regulations.
Important: These charges are not included in the product price and are generally the responsibility of the recipient.

3. How Shipping Works

Shipping works as usual – with a small difference:

1. You place an order at the net price (without VAT).

2. We ship the order to your non-EU country.

3. Your local customs authority inspects the package.

4. Any import duties or taxes are applied.

5. You (the recipient) pay these fees – usually upon delivery or collection.

4. Why We Don’t Charge These Fees in Advance

Customs duties and taxes are set by local authorities and can change frequently.
To keep prices transparent, we do not charge international import fees upfront.
These are paid directly to your local authorities if applicable.

5. Summary

Ordering from outside the EU allows you to purchase without EU VAT.
